As some of you might already know,a licensing scheme will be one of the new features of ekey net 4.0. You will be able to choose between three versions: PRIVATE, BUSINESS and PRINTER. We will then be able to deliver a solution based on the individual customer requirements, meaning the end user can save substancial money by choosing the PRIVATE version, which only features a few selected components, compared to the BUSINESS version. The software licensing will allow a more accurate allocation of costs internally, turning the PRIVATE and PRINTER versions more cost attractive. On top of that, the storage costs of ekey net can be reduced considerably by separation into hardware cost and software licenses. The desired amount of licenses can be ordered just-in-time. And last but not least, as the end user‘s contact data will need to be entered when installing the system for the first time, it will be possible to realize sales stimuli more precisely later on (e.g. software upgrades, service agreements, etc.).
