ekey, Europe´s #1 for fingerprint access control solutions, presents the newest ekey product: thanks to ekey lock, the finger scanner with wireless cylinder, it is from now on a child´s play to retrofit any front door.

How does it work?
ekey lock features a finger scanner and a wide-range wireless cylinder. When it recognizes an enrolled finger, the finger scanner sends an encrypted radio signal to the locking cylinder, which is operated with a common battery. The rotary cylinder knob allows to unlock the door. The wireless transmitter has a range of up to seven meters. It is placed in the finger scanner control panel, which is mounted within the house. ekey lock is easy to mount and simple to operate. It is convenient for any door, can be mounted in no time and without laying any cables.
The wireless locking cylinders used in ekey lock are manufactured by Uhlmann & Zacher, a Bavarian locking system manufacturer. „We chose deliberately Uhlmann & Zacher´s digital locking cylinders, because they can be easily mounted and programmed without the help of any technician or PC. A big rotary knob makes operation easy, even when the doors are quite heavy. Furthermore the locking cylinder may be powered by an external power source, so that even when the battery is dead the door can still be unlocked“, point out Mr. Gallner and Mr. Keldorfer.
