Keyless building access via fingerprint supersedes IDs, keys or codes
Higher security is almost everybody´s current expectation. Studies support that in difficult economic times there is a higher need for security.
„Safety awareness has for sure become bigger in the last years“, affirms Mr. Signot Keldorfer, Managing Director at ekey biometric systems. Security is a most significant issue in companies and institutions. Also in the non-commercial area more value is given to windows and balcony doors, to the security level of entrance doors, and alarm systems are more and more common. In the real estate area, it is fundamental to think about who has access to what and when, what happens when employees leave the company, etc. Fingerprint solutions, as a keyless access solution to buildings, offer a secure and convenient alternative to traditional access control systems with IDs, keys, or codes.
Affordable solutions
Traditional access solutions distinguish themselves through property or knowledge. ekey implements a fingerscan method which warrants that only authorized people are granted access. Employees or landlords can open doors just by swiping their finger on the finger scanner. In the most simple option, it is possible to open a door with one single finger scanner. In more complex access control solutions, the fingerprint scanners are networked. Fingerprints can be used for password replacement on PCs, building or home access, time recording, or for instance printer operation. In the non-commercial area, up to 99 fingerprints may be saved. In the networked solution, there is no limited number of fingerprints.
For the users, fingerprint solutions do not only increase security, but convenience as well. „Keys may be forgotten, lost or stolen. With our solutions a finger swipe is the only thing you need. You always have your key at hand “, underlines Mr. Keldorfer.
