ekey biometric systems has combined all of these access options in its ekey finger scanner integra model.
Already on its way to conquering the world of smartphones and tablets, fingerprint access is also setting its sights on access control for companies and households. It may seem like science fiction to some, but over one million satisfied ekey customers are already using this technology every day and can't imagine life without it!
With an ekey fingerprint access solution, locking yourself out and lost or stolen keys become things of the past – because you always have your finger on hand.
The ekey software is learning all the time – it can detect the growth of children's fingers as well as minor injuries and changes to users' habits.
Know who is coming home
By using the ekey fingerprint access control system, building control systems can now detect “which person” triggers an action.
All ekey finger scanner models are available with a card reader function (RFID). This enables the door to be opened with a transponder or card without the user having to store a fingerprint. This optional additional function is useful if you need to give visitors temporary access. The RFID function also offers an alternative for people with physical impairments.
The free ekey home app provides an easy way for the user to make all important configuration settings for the finger scanner as well as administration settings via a smartphone or tablet device.
Door opening with a smartphone
The administrator can also authorize other users so that their smartphones or tablet devices function as a “door opener”, without the need for them to store their fingerprints in the system. Access authorization can be revoked by the administrator at any time.
In many situations, opening the door from a close distance can be beneficial; for example, when unloading the car, for wheelchair users, and in cases involving doors with automatic opening technology, garage doors, etc. For these applications, the smartphone/tablet can be used as a “door opener”: Simply launch the ekey home app, press the required button, and the door will open.
Enabling or disabling users at the touch of a button
With the ekey home app, registered users such as neighbors, for example, can be assigned temporary access authorization while a homeowner is on vacation. This authorization can be deactivated immediately on the homeowner's return without deleting the user.
The ekey home app is available for free for Apple iOS and Google Android devices.
