"Some of our vehicles are worth over 10 million Swiss francs. Insurance considerations require us to track very precisely who accesses which [area] and when they do so.", states Dr. Andreas Bänziger, one co-owner of Aston Martin St. Gallen. With ekey net, Aston Martin has decided on a networkable, secure, cross-location access solution with central user and access administration. ekey has been implemented in the Swiss Home Base main building, the special Car Safe and the spare parts storage system, to name a few applications. Service trucks are also equipped with ekey fingerprint scanners.
