New ekey finger scanners with built-in RFID card readers

Tuesday, 29. November 2016

Under certain circumstances, you may actually want to use either your unique fingerprint or an RFID card for unlocking the door. Examples for such requirements could range from simply granting temporary access to visitors up to realizing disability-friendly access in public buildings.

Whereas ekey already offered suitable scanners with built-in RFID card readers for our networkable system ekey net, we are pleased to announce that this function is now available optionally in every ekey access control system.

The new ekey finger scanner models

  • ekey home FS WM RFID
  • ekey home FS IN 2.0 RFID
  • ekey home FS OM E RFID
  • ekey home FS OM I RFID

are accepting MIFARE DESFire EV1 cards with a memory of at least 1 kByte and are both compatible with our single-point access solution ekey home and our multi-point access solution ekey multi.

Simple. Convenient. Secure.
