Important: The warranty extension can only be purchased during the regular warranty period. Older ekey product lines are excluded from this warranty extension. Extend the warranty for your new-generation ekey products:

Note: The serial number of the respective ekey fingerprint is required for every warranty extension. However, the warranty always includes the associated ekey controller as well.
What does the warranty extension cover?
The warranty extension provides the same protection as the regular warranty and includes:
- Free repairs or replacement for defects caused by material or workmanship issues.
What is not covered?
- Damage caused by improper use, external interference, or consequential damages such as loss of use is excluded from the warranty.
- On-site service is also not covered; products must be sent in for processing.
Important: For systems such as the Doorbird intercom, the warranty extension only applies to the integrated ekey sLine fingerprint and the associated ekey controller. Warranty claims cannot be made for third-party products integrated with ekey.
How to activate the warranty extension for end customers
After purchasing the warranty extension, you will receive an email with an activation code. Here’s how to activate the warranty extension:
- Visit the warranty extension page on our website.
- Enter the activation code and the serial number of your ekey fingerprint.
- Upon successful activation, you will receive a warranty certificate confirming your 5-year warranty from the original purchase date.
How to activate the warranty extension for resellers
After purchasing the warranty extension, you as a reseller will receive an email with an activation code. Please provide this activation code along with the following instructions to your customer:
- Your customer visits the warranty extension page.
- On the warranty extension page, they must enter the activation code and the serial number of their ekey fingerprint.
- Upon successful activation, your customer will receive a warranty certificate confirming the 5-year warranty from the original purchase date.

- Contact our support team: In most cases, our support team can assist you directly and resolve the issue without requiring you to send in the device. Our goal is to get you back up and running as quickly as possible.
If sending in the device is necessary:
- Have your warranty certificate and a detailed description of the issue ready.
- Securely package the defective product and send it to ekey.
