ekey bionyx Wi-Fi Bridge incl. Notification API License for Control4

With this combined product, you can integrate your ekey bionyx system conveniently and reliably into a Control4 smart home environment. The package consists of the ekey WiFi Bridge and the corresponding Control4 driver license.

The WiFi Bridge provides the communication interface between the ekey bionyx system and Control4. It enables automatic discovery on the local network via the Control4 Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP) and stores the exported bionyx configuration locally so that it can be retrieved by the Control4 Bridge Driver during setup.

During initial configuration, the Control4 Bridge Driver retrieves the stored bionyx configuration from the WiFi Bridge. The Control4 drivers interpret this data, create the required ekey device instances within the Control4 project, and manage the routing of biometric events.

This allows actions and scenes in Control4 to be triggered via individual fingers, user profiles, or digital inputs on the ekey controller. As a result, individual access permissions, personalized smart home scenes, and customized automations can be implemented.

License scope

The driver license supports up to 20 users or 20 fingerprints and is ideal for individual access control and personalized scenes.

Processing and activation

Processing and activation of the driver license may take up to four business days. The MAC address of the Control4 controller is required for licensing so that all necessary security checks can be carried out.

Shipping and provision

• The WiFi Bridge is shipped as a hardware product to the delivery address you provide.
• The activated Control4 driver license is provided separately in digital form and sent to the email address you provide.
