ekey youtube tutorial no. 3: UDP events with LAN converter

On his Youtube channel haus-automatisierung.com, Matthias Kleine regularly presents products on the topic of “Smart Home”. Now he also dedicates himself to ekey products and their functionality by means of tutorials. Part 1 to 3 of the video series are already online and show the basics about “fingerprint”, the link with KNX as well as UDP events with the LAN converter.

The content of the tutorial:
In part 3 of the ekey tutorials, Matthias Kleine integrates the ekey access solution into his network using a LAN converter. He pays attention to the correct cabling and termination of the BUS connection for data transmission – starting with the fingerprint scanners (terminated) via the control panel and the KNX converter to the LAN converter (also terminated).

After the hardware installation in the test setup, Matthias Kleine loads the required
software
for the CV-LAN module from ekey’s Media Center. He then presents the possibilities and functions of the RARE and HOME protocols. He uses the open source software “Node-RED” to illustrate what can be done with the transmitted data.
