ekey App Privacy Policy

The use of our app is possible without providing personal data. Data is personal if it can be assigned to a natural person.

With the user management function of the app, you are free to save names of users. You can use this function to create, activate and delete users. You can also manage user fingerprints and restrict user rights. If you use this function, your entered data will be collected by our app, stored and sent to your ekey system. This data is still available to the owner of the mobile device within the scope of this function.

The personal data you enter will only be sent by our app to your ekey system in order to operate it. Otherwise these data will neither be processed nor passed on to third parties. The data will be stored in the ekey app and in your ekey system until you delete them.
To use the mobile app, you must enter your name and e-mail address for registration. These are stored on the mobile device for later automatic registration and are not processed further by ekey biometric systems GmbH.
For analysis purposes you can send data from the ekey app to the ekey support. In this case, diagnostic data from your ekey product and the contact data entered, such as name and e-mail address, and optionally address and/or telephone number, will be sent to ekey biometric systems GmbH for the purpose of contacting you. This transmission is only actively done by the user. The contact and analysis data for the respective support case is only accessible to the support employee and is stored until the support case is completed. The diagnostic data is transmitted via an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to an ekey server in Linz/Austria. The data sent will be used solely for contacting, analysis and error detection and will not be passed on to third parties.
We would like to point out that you can correct or delete incorrect data in the ekey app at any time. If you have any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data and its correction, blocking or deletion, you can contact us at any time free of charge.
