Since March 21, 2017, KfW has also been funding smaller measures to protect against burglary in Germany. The minimum investment amount has been significantly reduced from the previous 2,000 euros to 500 euros.

Investments of 500 to 1,000 euros are subsidized with 20%. In case of higher investments, the first 1,000 euros are subsidized with 20% and the remaining investment costs up to a maximum of 15,000 euros with 10%. Grants awarded are thus in the range of at least 100 euros, but no more than 1,600 euros.

Funding is provided for modernization measures that reduce barriers, increase living comfort or invest in burglary protection measures.

“Personal recognition on house and apartment doors, as well as smart door locks with personalized access rights, can be promoted as components of burglary and robbery alarm systems.”

This means that ekey fingerprint access solutions in combination with a burglary and robbery alarm systems with an investment for an investment of at least EUR 500.

With the new stipulations, the Federal Ministry of Construction, the Federal Ministry of the Interior and KfW are responding to the continuing strong demand from homeowners and tenants.
