ekey youtube tutorial no. 2: Linking with KNX

On his Youtube channel haus-automatisierung.com, Matthias Kleine regularly presents products on the topic of “Smart Home”. Now he also dedicates himself to ekey products and their functionality by means of tutorials. Part 1 and 2 of the video series are already online and show the basics on the topic of “fingerprint” as well as the link with KNX.

The content of the tutorial:

In part 2 of the ekey tutorials, Matthias Kleine connects the ekey access solution with the KNX building control system. It uses the ekey home converter KNX RS-485 as the interface between the two systems. After he has downloaded the required
software
he makes the required settings in the ETS5 (Engineering Tool Software). Here he creates events and assigns them to the desired functions, in this case the switching on of the ceiling light. It then assigns the events on the ekey control panel, allowing the stored commands to be interpreted correctly by both systems. This is illustrated in the tutorial by switching on the light using the ekey fingerprint scanner.
