ekey youtube tutorial no. 4: UDP events in FHEM and ioBroker

On his Youtube channel haus-automatisierung.com, Matthias Kleine regularly presents products on the topic of “Smart Home”. Now he also dedicates himself to ekey products and their functionality by means of tutorials. Part 1 to 4 of the video series are already online and show the basics about “fingerprint”, the link with KNX, UDP events with the LAN converter as well as UDP events in FHEM and ioBroker.

The content of the tutorial:
In part 4 of the ekey tutorials, Matthias Kleine shows how any system can be controlled via ekey fingerprint using FHEM and ioBroker. The required data (user, finger scanner serial number, relay, finger, action) is transmitted using the ekey LAN converter. The smart home expert illustrates how the integration of the systems works, how the relevant information is extracted from the transmitted UDP messages, and how these look in the case of a known or unknown finger.
