Getting Started with Your New ekey System
Below you will find all the information you need to complete your installation and configuration yourself.
Initial Activation and Activation of the Fingerprint Scanner
When you turn it on for the first time, the upper left LED segment of the fingerprint scanner will flash blue—it is ready for activation. If this does not happen, briefly disconnect the power supply to activate the BLUETOOTH® connection. In activation mode, the door can be opened with any finger. After approximately 10 minutes without activation, the mode deactivates automatically, indicated by flashing.
Activate location to find BLUETOOTH® devices
Activate “Location” in the smartphone settings, as your smartphone requires location access to find devices with BLUETOOTH® technology. Since Android 6.0 (2015), Google requires apps to obtain permissions before they are allowed to use system functions such as BLUETOOTH®.
