Unlike comparable products, ekey xLine and ekey sLine are always supplied as a complete set with fingerprint scanner and control unit. The ekey uno fingerprint scanner offers an inexpensive solution and can also be purchased as a set with a smart lock. Please note that with many comparable products, the indoor unit (control unit) must be purchased separately, which affects the total cost. Only authorized persons can open the door with the ekey fingerprint scanner. There is a special indicator – the false acceptance rate (FAR). This describes the probability of a person gaining access to a security system even though they do not have authorization. With ekey fingerprint scanners, this is 1:10 million – provided that the finger images have been recorded correctly. The ekey fingerprint scanner is therefore much more secure than the 4-digit numeric code of an ATM card.
