Matthias Kleine’s conclusion:
In the 18-minute video, smart home expert Matthias Kleine presents his experiences with ekey to date. In his house, a new building in Germany, he has already been using the ekey home finger scanner integra 2.0 with RFID function and the ekey home control panel REG with 2 relays for a year. At the beginning of the video, Matthias presents his personal requirements for access systems in general, such as that he wants to actively start the opening of the front door and that it should not be triggered automatically. This would be conceivable, for example, by approaching the front door with his smartphone and the door being unlocked automatically. He also wants the option of not having to take anything with him, which means no RFID cards or RFID chips. The smart home expert also tends to reject the entry of numerical codes, as anyone could watch the pin being entered and over time the numbers used often become recognizable due to natural wear and tear, meaning the codes would have to be changed regularly. He chose ekey as the smart alternative. Matthias also discusses important security aspects of biometric access solutions. In doing so, he takes the opportunity to address some of the concerns that have been raised about his new access system in recent months. Matthias explains basic functions as well as possibilities of ekey and addresses the system’s fail-safety, the automatic locking of his motorized lock and the reliability of the ekey fingerprint scanner itself. In the end, the smart home expert summarizes all the advantages of the system compactly and emphasizes: “Overall, we are super happy with the system and would install it again and again. Especially since we no longer need a key for our car. A completely keyless life is just great! I don’t have to take anything with me anymore. At the beginning, you have to get used to the fact that your pockets are completely empty.
